The playbook
Some of the loudest cheering we've ever recorded came from a kabaddi raid, not a cricket final. Desi Games Day brings back the playground: kabaddi on a matted arena, eight-a-side tug of war, kho-kho chases and a carnival of classics like langdi and pitthu (seven stones).
These games need no equipment skills at all, just nerve, which is what makes them the most democratic formats we run. We stage them with proper referees and safety matting, departments field squads for each game, and a points table crowns the overall desi champion.
On the field
▸ Kabaddi: 7-a-side matted arena with raid clock
▸ Tug of war: 8-a-side, weight-classed pulls
▸ Kho-kho: 9-a-side chase brackets

▸ Musical chairs blitz (open entry)
